Let’s end modern slavery first.

*but we don’t have slavery today?!*

What is slavery? -One definition is forced work without pay.

*but we get paid for working*

If you get taxed at 20% then you work without pay for 1 day a week.

If you are taxed at 40% then you work for 2 days a week without pay.

What is force? -One example is the threat of violence until you comply. If you do not pay these taxes, eventually you WILL face violence and imprisonment. The state owns a monopoly on violence and uses the threat of it to make you comply.

*what about entitlements for the poor?* The programs of government do not help people. They do not lift people out of poverty- gov programs contribute to poverty rates overall. The most effective safety net programs are local food banks and charitable housing programs. Neither of which use federal tax money to operate.

*no taxes would be unsustainable*

Under the current system poor people get poorer and working people either become rentseekers or they also become poorer. -is that sustainable?

>Modern slavery is financial slavery to the state and the only political objective that Free People should be concerned about is to end slavery once and for all.

Maybe change “modern slavery” to Serfdom.

Slavery usually is used to refer to Chattel Slavery. Which should be respected as a separate thing- never to be allowed in the future.

(Still exists in many parts of the world today unfortunately.)

Give the government what is theirs.

They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” When they heard it, they marveled. And they left him and went away.
