It’s been somewhat apparent from day 1 because he always shied away from acknowledging #btc ‘s MoE function but was one of the major proponents of the “digital gold” narrative. My guess is he wants to be the next Blackrock or Citadel where he is able to lend it to institutions for trading among other things.
