Big day today. I need to figure out how to use relays. Check if I have a NIP-05 and test if I successfully connected my very-first-ever wallet.
It sounds like a lot of work, but this is too exciting. I'm loving every bit of it.

Not much to relays. There are free and paid. If you don’t go into global much you’re fine with free ones.

Can I ask you something else? I write long form on Medium, if I want to share one of my articles (or copy-paste it) should I publish it on the three long-form apps? Do they have different public or are we all users by default?
My mindset is too used to the centralised internet.

They all broadcast the same content as long as it’s on the same relay. So if you publish on Habla people will see it on blog stack (if same relay). No need to cross post to all 3 - that’s the beauty of nostr.
Keep in mind, the content on Habla is not indexed yet so people won’t find it through search engines yet, not sure about blogstack or Flycat

So the relay shares the content on all the apps they operate. And I guess it will depend on the format of that content.
So, if I send a long format post to one rely that works with habla and Blogstack, the content will be in both. And if I send a note it will go to all the platforms that work short format?
Now I definitely need to learn how to use relays and the best ones to use.

You're fine with the default relay settings, no worries, but you might want to fine tune later to improve your Nostr experience.
Don't add too many relays, when your online mostly with limited mobile plan, because Nostr requires lot's of bandwidth.
Wait! You're saying that when I click on "send" I am already using all my list of relays? I don't have to do anything special there?
What if it's a long form post? Like, if I write an article here and click send, would it go to blogstack or do I have to publish it there?

That's the beauty of Nostr, you click on send and your note is published to all the relays in your list! No worries 🤓
