Cheese and I were on a similar track earlier, we were discussing the subscription business model. I get it, but sometimes/most of the time I'd rather just pay to own the product and then in a couple of years pay for the upgrade. That led into discussion about how that incentivized making a newer better product every few years to make money instead of suckling the subscription teat and never revamping your product while simultaneously selling all your personal data.

We have cancelled most of the subscription services we once enjoyed because of the privacy issues, and the rising costs. Privacy is important, but I agree that the only way is to become a recluse, live off grid, and never see family or friends that have cameras πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Limited exposure seems to be our best option for now.

If you made it this far, enjoy your day and do something that brings you joy! πŸ«‚πŸ’œ

I always do something that brings me joy. πŸ™‚ In fact I’m still swimming in joy after finding out I’m going to be an aunt. I must crochet baby booties in 9 months.

Beyond excited for you! Being an aunt is so much fun 😁. I think I have a pattern from a magazine, I'll try to find it and share it πŸ˜†. πŸ§ΆπŸ’œ

I'd love that. πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ»

But I'm worse than beginner. Whatever, I can do it. πŸ˜„

Lol, it was a beginner friendly pattern. And I can share resources, youtube was my teacher. You can do it!! πŸ˜¬πŸŽ‰

I can assemble an engine but making things with yarn is HARD. πŸ˜…

πŸ˜‚ I promise it gets easier. Hopefulhoney.com had some great slow mo tutorials for beginner stitches. It's all repetition once you get going.

Thank you! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

I'm glad you mentioned slow mo because the kit I got came with video that wasn't very easy to follow and a little booklet with codes in it...patterns in codes!! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I wasnt expecting to learn a new fucking language.

Yes, it is a language πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. She was good at pointing out the things that were going on, and she has a nice voice πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. The kicker is UK and US terms are different double crochet means a different stitch πŸ™„, the pattern usually says which terms are used.

I appreciate the tip.

I will be starting soon. 😬
