The point of my post was that the majority of Israel's Jews are effectively European immigrants. DNA tests have proven that. They don't actually have a strong historical argument for staying in Palestine, when they're first or second-generations from Sweden or Frankfurt or Prague.

Not that they need one, as humans are animals and own whichever territory they can claim and defend. But it's disingenuous to make broad historical claims, when they're not mostly native Palestians (of whichever religion).

Check your numbers. Half of Israeli Jews are from middle-eastern countries, who simply don't want to be ruled by Islamists. You're welcome to visit here and see for yourself.

I don't need a perfect moral argument. The population exchange that Israel did with its neighbors is good enough. I need to survive the threat of hundreds of millions of Islamists that surround us, knowing from history that living under the protection of foreign people won't work for us in the long run.

You don't, maybe. But the Israeli government is bombarding foreign media with these bizarre historical rantings, and it does nothing but remind us of Palestinian rantings. Same sort of "My Grandaddy always planted potatoes here, and my Holy Book says blah blah blah, and the other side is Literally Hitler. Woe is me."

The whole argumentation is childish. You own what you can claim and defend, but totalitarianism can carry a high political tag, so be sure you want to pay it. The end.

Populist Israeli politicians will sometimes say stupid things to get more attention and more votes from their base. They've probably given a 1 hour interview from which few minutes where sliced. And the media loves interviewing the more cuckoo politicians. But the alternative is letting these guys "liberate" Palestine - they don't give interviews they just shoot their opponents.

That is normal, when you elect a totalitarian regime to lead your country. You can only elect them once, as they quickly kill off or banish their political opponents and then suspend elections or turn them into a joke.

I already said, higher up, that the Hamas supporters are all two cups short of a full set. My complaint is that Israelis were starting to sound like them, instead of remaining the adults in the room.

Well, maybe the ceasefire will help. So long as only Hamas is killing off Palestinians, nobody will mind and it's no longer Israel's problem.
