“We Can’t Take Every Dog Home!” 🥺

My husband and I constantly remind each other of this, but it’s easier said than done!

The other day, we stopped by a hardware store, and this shy, sweet girl came up to us (okay, maybe we lured her over first). She looked a little thin but not too unhealthy—we’ve seen worse. Living in a country where hundreds of street dogs roam, we’ve met so many amazing ones along the way. (Our girls were also street dogs, and they are awesomeeee!!)

That’s why I always keep a few bags of treats, some dog food, and water in the car—just in case. It’s a simple way to make new friends wherever we go.

I know this isn’t a real solution to the bigger problem, but is it so wrong to brighten someone’s day, even just a little? We enjoy their company just as much as they enjoy the treats. Value for value, right?

If I had one wish, it would be for every dog to have a home—a place where they are loved, cared for, and treated right. I know it’s only a daydream, but hope is what keeps us going. Wouldn’t you agree?
