People used to rip on Umbrel, probably because it’s almost “too easy” to use, but imo it’s a fantastic way to run a BTC and LN node, and the fact that they added Nostr relay capabilities so fast is a great sign. Thanks, #[0]

A Bitcoin node should be only a Bitcoin Node, not also a Nostr’s relay or a Tor Bridge. There are lot of apps that make Umbrel everything but not a Bitcoin Node imo. Take a look to Raspiblitz that is completely FOSS and focused only on Bitcoin.

Looks at the quantity of apps in the store that are not correlated to the functioning of a Bitcoin Node.

These apps could be good for a self-hosting server of whatever you want but should be kept separate from your Bitcoin Node.
