More zeros = harder to guess the number

Any nonce you choose is a random guess, there’s no correlation between a nonce and a whether the resulting hash will have enough zeros

Sha256 uses hexadecimals. These hexadecimals are real numbers.

The miner needs to find a nonce that is less than the previous block. The adjustment does not need to be 10X.

If every time you change the nonce you get a random hash, you have a 1/16th chance of guessing the first digit as zero, meaning you have a 1/256 chance of guessing 2 zeros in a row, a 1 in 4096 chance of guessing three and so on. At current difficulty it requires like, 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 guesses per second for 10 straight minutes to hit the difficulty target. So yes, the "changing the nonce" part is true, its just you have to do it so many times so quickly its really really hard. (The math is probably inaccurate on that but true in layman's terms, don't flame me)
