I support a free state of Palestine. I support Ukraine's freedom from Russia. I support Taiwan's freedom from China, and Tibet's, and Hong Kong's. I support Northern Ireland's freedom from the UK (among those who want it). I supported brexit. I supported Catalan's freedom from Spain. I even think the wrong side won the U.S. war between the states - the Confederate States should have been allowed to secede (Does that mean I support slavery?! Fuck no).

In all the cases above, there is a commonality. I believe government should be BOTTOM UP via consent of the governed, not top down. Therefore I ideologically support all separatist movements because they clearly do not consent.

That doesn't mean I always think balls-out seperatism is a smart strategy. Oftentimes it gets you wrecked.
