Many of the promises in the Bible are not just about the life to come, but are about this life now. Do the work.
I tell my children some form of this 👇 on a regularly basis.
Some of them are clearly slower to truly get it, as they repeatedly scoff at work too frequently. With patience and long-suffering I will not give up giving them lesson, gently or harshly at various times.
