I loved watching Little House on the Prairie growing up. I think I’ll rewatch some episodes on future rainy days! Thanks for the reminder!

💗 yes! I read all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when I was in 2nd-3rd grade

Great reads!

Pa!!

I bought my wife the DVD box set of all of the seasons and she literally cried. I think Michael Landon likely portrayed the last good, strong Christian family leader that was ever allowed to grace network television. Culture was weaponized beginning in the 80’s to portray husbands and men in general as doofuses with few values, not worthy of respect or acknowledgment.

And Karen Grassle was just a vision as a strong mother who followed his lead but was not afraid to call him out when he was being prideful, and encourage him when his faith was challenged.

Yes, it surely portrays traditional family roles in a wholesome way. I still keep the book set on my shelf.

My mom used to watch every night for years! Very nostalgic.

We scared our youngest with the powder monkey episode…. Woops!

That was a great episode, folks going thru hard times and all.

The explosion came out of nowhere :)
