I always wondered if you can only tell if something is a world war when it's over and reading a history book.

To me I think it has already started, not sure how many countries need to be involved before it's official

after reading a book appropriately titled "The World War" i agreed with the thesis of the text which was that it has not stopped since it started at the end of the 19th century, it just went "cold" and since 1989 it's been warming up again

Yep, we’re definitely in WWIII. The only question is whether it will stay confined to Ukraine and the Middle East or expand the hot zones to North America and Asia too.

Not sure if it will become WW 3, but I think with or (hopefully) without that, this is what the collapse of a system/empire looks like.

To your point, WW1 was just the “Great War” until WW2 came along. They probably assumed that would never happen again

Possibly easier to see with modern communication linking the planet

I would think it's more than 2 countries fighting and millions of deaths. The way things are going we may be heading there...
