Dude. It's super simple. This isn't them, but if it was:
Social media manager: hey IT team I'm putting in a request for a thing.
IT team: rolls face across keyboard
Social media manager: updates profile with the text the IT team gave them.
If you have to involve your IT team I’d consider it a failure

If it's a high profile org, I feel like needing to involve the IT team is a feature.
I don't think everyone in an organization of thousands should be able to upload a file to their root directory.
