For weeks every morning I would see a beaver swim across the lake in front of my dock and then in the afternoon he would swim the opposite way. I joked that "he must be going to work". Haha. Then one day this giant tree fell over and almost crushed my neighbors boat house... rascal lol
Last year a beaver surfaced right next to me when swimming in a river. We looked at each other, both scared shitless (they got teeth man), then he dived off with speed ...
Euphemism?
But that "damage", such as a flooded field, is also an important biotop for many other species .. In Germany we say: "the beaver giveth and the beaver taketh" or "live by the beaver, die by the beaver".
