How do you know when compost is “done”? nostr:npub1zuag28anj3vggyw4gvms62d08va69puy9xxqvhf00mtdlyyn4leqxjajkv nostr:npub1dgpt04w4c88wc0g262xaw8zvlm4mvwtmjhl0tn2sxtyjywsn6q4qt8ka3a #growstr

I am still learning myself, it looks really good to me, at least to as an amendment.

Thanks. Still a lot of solids in it. I keep turning it with a hoe to see if it will become a little more grainy. Half of it is going to go into my raised bed this winter and the rest is getting mixed with dirt for my spring flower bed.

Looks good to me for either of those uses or even as a mulch layer. It still looks pretty coarse, but it will break down more wherever you put it.

Does it smell like dirt? If it does it's probably good to go.

Ummm earthy sweet smell

No matter what anybody tells you, you don’t have to taste it.

Wha? I mean it won’t hurt but my purpose dirt eating days are well behind me

Probiotic

The compost is really ready when it looks like normal dirt.

Prolly should use gloves
