I just hibernated my linkedin account. I honestly didn't know you could do that.

I kept the account "just in case I might need it" because I've heard horror stories that people without linkedin are instantly screened out of job openings.

I deleted my LinkedIn and all other Big Tech accounts the day BigTech deplatformed Parler and Trump. Turns out I don't need them at all, anywhere. . . other than a $20/month cell service. Yes, I even knocked my cell payment as low as possible to make sure Big Tech gets as little money from me as possible.

If a company is locked into Microsoft's LinkedIn, to that extent, with lack of ambition to use other sources, do you really want to work for them?

For me personally? Absolutely not.

Other people that might be desperate to pay their bills and feed their families? Unfortunately yes.

Depending on the region, job market might be harsh, moving away might not be practical or possible.
