I have an issue with using primal. On android. I find it to be veery slow and quite often so. I.e. it rarely loads my favourite feed: "popular by npubs you follow".
When I change to "latest" or "latest with replies", it usually does load. Anything I can do?

changing number of relays won't help, since it only reads from their singular relay. have you tried amethyst ?

Both are great choices for Android.
Either of these apps support using Amber, an app that lets you keep your Nostr keys safe. Primal doesn't.

Long press the zap icon. It supports NWC and you can set whatever amounts you want 🤙
You're looking at the difference between a native Primal feed, vs a feed provided by a DVM.
"Latest with replies" is native to Primal and all it has to do is pull information from the caching relay to display it to you, so it is really fast.
"Popular from nostr:npubs you follow" is a DVM feed. So Primal has to wait for that DVM to provide it with a list of notes before it can pull those notes from their caching relay to display them to you. That will naturally add some delay, depending on how long the DVM takes.
