As soon as you're old enough to understand the safety procedures
You could start em on BB gun training wheels pretty young (6 or 7) so they get a feel for the mechanics and safety standards. Then when they’re ready you’ll know and you can move to .22 then work up to the manly weapons like a 12 gauge and a high caliber rifles accordingly.
