Yes. Marinara, ranch, whatever you want. I prefer a nice butter garlic white sauce, like you would put on Fettuccine Alfredo. Mmmm, delicious crust coated in fat ππ

Never had any of those sauces before that you mentioned π€
Iβd be obese in the US, I swear
Learn to cook well while young, you will never regret it π«π€
Congrats btw π
Thank you, it is literally the most important task I have ever completed. It pays me dividends every day πͺππ€
Just don't get a job cooking because you'll likely regret it.
how so?
Working in restaurant kitchens is a hellish firestorm of a job. It's hot, knives everywhere, and it is hectic and stressful. Don't recommend π
I've been cooking since the mid 90s.
I've never made over 35k / year even as manager.
Meanwhile I have friends that over 150k (I'm happy for them and only blame myself for my $ issues)
The pros of cooking are that you'll never go hungry and you'll be able to keep your head above water.
The cons are that you'll likely ruin relationships, work 50+ hours a week, never have weekends or holidays off and will be eternally stressed out.
Alcoholism and drug use among cooks is rampant.
I believe that cooking is a skill that everyone should learn and can save you thousands of dollars over your lifetime. Yet it's a thankless (and addictive) job.
iβve always wanted to work as a chef, or atleast complete a course in it.
probably the best skill you could have, and iβd say one of the sexiest π
You don't need a degree. Just a willingness to learn. And a sense of urgency.
Almost all "chefs" that I've worked with weren't worth the pot to piss in.
might consider it actually ππ€
You also need thick skin.
Watch "the Bear" and "Waiting".
I do not recommend you work in a kitchen for vert long. It's not a good career path. I do recommend it if you have a plan to get the f out as soon as you've learned what you need.
Oh perfect, I like cooking shows π
Yeah, Iβd just love to learn some strong fundamentals and gtfo
Here's what I served today for lunch

oh damn, looks really nice π howβs the work been to you as of late?
I'm an old man doing a young man's job. I'm burned out. I have a masochistic love hate relationship with the restaurant biz
anything youβd like to do instead at this point? π€
Right now all I need to do is sell my property in CA. My bills here in MO are less than 1k / month. So I can put up with a couple of days a week.
I'd love to crack the work from home thing. I just haven't figured out out yet
You could potentially startd doing some cooking videos from home, Iβd love to watch them π Maybe some cooking courses also
Look at my website, that's what I'd really like to do, homesteading.
maybe nostr:npub1g3827ewz6d23rlgdhkaslc78gyule52ymcqdyt2hsxdwtlw8dt5q7dfpvg could help you out with that π
Sugar + grains +processed food everywhere. Cut them out/keep them to a minimum and things get better. Obesity is not necessarily a thing from overeating, but actually eating (processed) foods that are empty in nutrients which then leads to wanting to eat more
