I found a leatherbound 1930 edition of Vitalogy Illustrated at a gun show today, though I did not find what I went there for to begin with. I'm not a proper bibliophile or anything like that, but I'm keen on cool shit. The book is in great shape. All pages are intact. Someone had claimed ownership in ink inside the front cover and they just so happened to have the same last name as me, so that's a little weird... It's kismet.

This looks familiar 😂🤣

Ever heard of book but this picture already has me curious

Never*

It's fascinating and very well put together.

That's a crazy cool find 👀

The first page I flipped to was 863. I laughed so hard.

Oh, that's is an older version. It might not have 863. Apparently this was a series of encyclopedias that got mashed into 1 book in 1930.

Oh dear... found it 🤣🤣🤣

I'm so glad Eddie Vedder find a copy at a garage sale once. I still love this whole album 🤘

Wasn't until I googled book that I realized the cover matched. I should listen to his solo stuff. Every time I've heard a random song it's been good

That's why it caught my eye. I was looking for a particular clip/magazine, not books, but I had to stop.

I've never seen a copy, but I knew the story. That's the reason Pearl Jam started making crazy album art, booklets and photo sets and what not. He bought the book and the band thought it would make a great album cover. I loved PJ's unique packaging for their music.

I hadn't either before today. Neat inspiration that's for sure. Some of the stuff in it is ridiculous & other stuff seems totally rational. I think it will be fun to have around.
