I have yet to hear an argument against nostr:npub1tltf8es60957eawprkl4ecs2akkpe6n3wgt4tvphj4vef0mqvxasv6ve7g βs sideloading approach! Not saying there isnβt one but I have yet to hear it. Seems super promising
Despite nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 hating it, nostr could be the state of art and proving ground for PWAs.
Discussion
apple could choose to break thatβ¦ although eu is forcing them to officially allow it, they could choose to only ship that regionally, my bet is we will see certificate based installing as soon as the new year to comply with the eu. I donβt like it takes gov regulation to force this.
If complying .ipaβs was free (yes you can edit the plist and get to ad hoc, and compile for free) itβs just extra hoops. Iβm doing my best to share the changes I made, but I could nefariously add stuff before building. (Thatβs the main argument against it)
My solution is just to keep the damus code running⦠not a solution to the future of nostr.
iOS isnβt the friendly environment for PWAsβ¦ specially ones that require nip 07 to login. Shortcuts to open PWAs in safari so they have access to nostore work, but neither that nor sideus are solutions for your average twitter user.
