That’s what I noticed as well. Wear a sombrero and pancho to a Mexican party and they’ll get a good laugh out of it. The only ones offended are the insecure Karens that are actually racist deep down but feel guilty about it.
There's a lot of propaganda that goes into it. It's a huge echo chamber of people who just see the world through a completely different lens that's wholly manufactured and fake.
I think most of the people that point fingers about racism are just projecting.
When I was an innocent kid, I asked my black friend if he liked watermelon. I was gonna cut some up to eat and offer him some. He looked at me like I was crazy and said what do you mean I’m black. So I asked him if black people like watermelon. He said of course and then explained the stereotype. I told him I thought everyone liked watermelon because it’s delicious. I don’t really know anyone that hates watermelon except carnivores and weirdos 😂
There was no awareness of racism or stereotypes. It’s the people who are thinking about those things that will throw it in your face.
