Cultural appropriation doesn’t even sound like a bad thing. It actually sounds inclusive and glorifying to minorities.
Discussion
Minorities are actually kinda happy when it happens. Getting mad about it is mad retarded and thought police behavior.
That’s what I noticed as well. Wear a sombrero and pancho to a Mexican party and they’ll get a good laugh out of it. The only ones offended are the insecure Karens that are actually racist deep down but feel guilty about it.
There's a lot of propaganda that goes into it. It's a huge echo chamber of people who just see the world through a completely different lens that's wholly manufactured and fake.
I think most of the people that point fingers about racism are just projecting.
When I was an innocent kid, I asked my black friend if he liked watermelon. I was gonna cut some up to eat and offer him some. He looked at me like I was crazy and said what do you mean I’m black. So I asked him if black people like watermelon. He said of course and then explained the stereotype. I told him I thought everyone liked watermelon because it’s delicious. I don’t really know anyone that hates watermelon except carnivores and weirdos 😂
There was no awareness of racism or stereotypes. It’s the people who are thinking about those things that will throw it in your face.
I also just thought, appropriating would mean that they can't practice their own culture anymore. It's such a weird word to use for sharing in a foreign culture.
Their solution is to educate yourself and learn their culture. But how does one learn their culture? Travel to their homeland. But if I wear a panache and sombrero that’s bad. But it’s also not respecting their culture if I don’t dress like them. Imagine a woman going to the Middle East wearing a bikini. It’s the only way to avoid cultural appropriation.
Over time I realized that you're trapped as soon as you try and comply with all these crazy demands. "Educate yourself." may as well mean "Brainwash yourself." It's exhausting.
I read a book, Canceling the American Mind, and the guy described it as the Perfect Rhetorical Fortress.

It’s kind of absurd to ignore our differences but then call it insensitive when you say that you don’t see color
I'm not at all mad about stereotypes as well
As an Indian, if I have to be extra hygienic, extra honest, extra articulate, and extra gentlemanly and decent to not be called a stinking scamming street shitter with a terrible accent who hits on anything that moves, I'm not complaining
Just pushes me to be an even better person overall, because I know that I don't fit the description of the sterotype and I'm not responsible for the actions of those who look and speak like me
I feel like that’s the only way to break stereotypes. I have a few Indian friends that are super clean. I actually think they’re too clean lol they make me take my shoes off when I visit their home 😂
Bruh how the fuck do you walk around your house with your shoes on
I can never understand 😭
Hahaha I don’t but

On the furniture?! 😭
I’m kidding lol that’s a very popular skit from back in the day. I guess I can’t blame you for not knowing about it if you didn’t grow up with American television.
I love Chappelle. I think he's one of the GOATs.
Chappelle's show isn't very relatable to me, but I love this episode:
Classic haha
