Having done an accelerator years ago (and failed miserably at my startup), I look back to having formed relationships and pushing myself and my peers through reflection, and discussion.

Unlike my and most accelerators where the objective is raise VC, what stood out to me in my short visit to Madeira was that there is a shared ethos of freedom at the base layer of Sov Eng. This is not the case in the traditional accelerators.

Further, practically all devs were and are building on open protocols in btc, and nostr, which is unique and a unique selling point on its own.

This means that the proof of work of dev 1 complements that of dev 2, and dev 3 can build on the blocks of dev 21. And yuuge success of dev 7 increases the odds of success of the other 20 devs (and everyone else on nostr, btc)!! Management consultants are in disbelief of the synergy levels 😂.

So my pitch would be: if you want to build for a freer future for today and for future generations, and you want to build collaboratively for the long term with others who have the same ethos and incentives as you, buidling in person with these folks by your side is only what SovEng can offer.

P.s. if you want to take VC, consider doing so from ethos aligned VCs who support freedom tech, and are not 💩coin apologists. Nostr buidlers are lucky to have a few of these around.

P.p.s. Because it’s so early the safest assumption is no VC or other funds is available. This means that the devs self-filter into the pain tolerance, and know they must survive until the next day. This is the low time preference filter. This is a good group to be around. nostr:note1q23fs5d8xjd7u9dcx6dyllr37jgjprn7y3sw7ve2hgqfr55cpljs7alak6
