...my struggle to find good corded headphones continues

I like the AKG brand. Braided wire. Buds good for my small ears. I get the 3.5 mm and use an Apple adapter (best quality I have found) to USB-C. This setup pops between adapter and headphones if I snag them, without breaking. Just plug back in and go.

Oh, not breaking is a good deal! Do they unplug easier than being pulled out of your ear?

Seems to most of the time, or maybe one bud gets loose a lil. And the usb-c seems to stay in too.

Exactly! And the fact that the adapter is what pops protects the phone port. This has been my daily setup for about three years.
