Everest as been on my bucket list as a child. Even if I don't summet the thing going to base camp would be fucking cool.

I hate thinking about it like this, but I know that sometimes there are actual lines to get up to the summit and that's not why I go mountaineering. I know Everest is like a status symbol or an achievement to make in mountaineering, but there's something about needing to wait in line to get to the summit that has kind of put me off of it. I don't know how true that is currently, but I remember reading some articles about that in the past.
Yeah man there definitely could be a line.
I'm more risk averse to the extent I can't predict the next earthquake.
When I was there maybe only a few days later the worst earthquake ever happened.
Felt bless to miss it by mere days.
