I noticed the YouTube censorship affecting how people talk in weird ways (like saying "un-aliving" because "suicide" gets videos flagged). My immediate reaction was that conforming to those algorithms can't be good for your brain.

I think free expression on nostr is going to really improve people's mental health.

I've also noticed YouTube shadowbans comments with "Davos" in them. No lie I always check from private browsing and my comment is gone. Only I can see it from my account.

This is the first time I've been able to see my notifications in weeks. It's nice to hear from someone out there in the void.

And not even just because you don't have to alter how you speak. But because it also means there's no algorithmic echo chambers.

Being exposed to dissenting opinions and debating your beliefs is absolutely essential for mental growth.
