It started when my notes started trending. These people don't follow me or read threads.

They just go down the trending list and use the OP as an opportunity to regurgitate their favorite talking points and grandstand, rather than treating me like a human and interacting with me at my own level.

And they have a horde of yes-men.

It's low behavior and I won't be giving them this opportunity, again. Unlike them, I don't care about trending.

I see what you mean given the zaps and now understand that you're figuring out how to curate your feed.

Other than the fact they have a lot of followers and interacting you with the potential for monetary gain, I don't think that behavior could classify differently than what anyone else does when they try to get their ideas across. I know there is a specific shade of this behavior you're mentioning, but hell, i'm guilty of that too! While I do feel some type of way about it, there is a dynamic between the users and builders on nostr that disproportionally signals to users that this is how you build without actually programming.

Not going to debate the intent of the act, but if you want to actually remove that behavior - well, that conversation has been hashed out thoroughly. Feed control and community/relay moderation.

All of this is new to me as someone who never used twitter in its entire existence. It seems very much like a xitter behavior.

It is.
