That assumes that society provides uneconomic people the time and life to pursue their hobbies.
People pursue fewer hobbies when they don't have shelter, food, medicine, and so forth. And if they can't earn an income vs a low-level robot, they would rely on charity.
I will choose theft or piracy as my means to survive when I am one of the uneconomics. Not going to wait for charity.
Good point the total amount of free time is relative to that yes - that’s why I brought up Frankl because his story is about how searching for meaning still happens in the worst situations.
