Wow! Unreal. I'm surprised Google hasn't done the same though.
Even if Google would do that, they won't, but if they did, we could sideload APKs. Android gives you that freedom.

Most people don’t realize that Google have very similar rules to Apple; they just lack the ability to enforce them very well and don’t seem to care too much about changing it, at least for now.
