I dunno! I realized with this particular post that I was assuming too much #Bitcoin knowledge on the part of some people.

I bought bitcoin and then chanced upon a podcast that talked about self custody so I bought a hardware wallet straight away with out really knowing anything. I guess I was lucky to go down that route before erring sucked into all the shit coins etc. but even after 3years in bitcoin Iām still a little daunted by the cold card. Not sure why.
It's a device that you can make as complicated or simple as you want.
But it does the job!
