I don’t use Android. I don’t see the poiint in using Tor and over-the-top privacy features if you’re already using an operating system designed to spy you. Android is a privacy nightmare.

GrapheneOS is more private than Google Android and iOS. As a long-time GrapheneOS user who also uses Google Android as part of my privacy and security through isolation and compartmentalization threat model, I find it makes a great secondary device where more privacy is needed. The issue with sharing your IP with random people who run relays should be self-apparent. There are malicious relays on the Nostr network. As always, know your threat model and act accordingly.

I like that Amethyst lets me run everything through Tor. I still use my own device level tools though. There will certainly be malicious relays once the NSA figures this thing out (I'm convinced they already have).

Apple removed all their major privacy benefits in the UK because the government demanded back door access. So Apples privacy features are one government decision away from being non existent.
