Nostr Web Client

I go to https://translate.kagi.com/ every time I want to translate something on my phone. I also use Firefox for Android just because I can't find any other browser that is not worse (and I avoid browsers as much as possible there).

But still every single time I start typing "tra" I get Google Translate as the only suggestion. I've deleted all instances of Google Translate from my browsing history a long time ago and have never since visited it again. Kagi Translate is not available in the suggestions ever. The suggestions work as expected for every other website that I tried, except this one.

Is this Firefox being super shady (like they've always been)? Are they very evil?

Isn't the search completion provider configurable in the settings? Default was google I thought.

Ditched FF when they announced their plan to sell data a few months back

Hmm... Made me realize they've removed the "quit" entry from the menu. Despite still offering the "delete data on quit" in the settings. That used to cut it... Tried force quitting?

You could possibly use it on Brave and have the default setting be Kagi which can be translate for you. Well brave nightly would be better on android devices.

Iceraven is a Firefox fork, right? I should try that one.

Ladybird would be cool if it wasn't the big hope of people who still think the "web" has any meaning as an open protocol and not only as Google's API. Given that it is indeed such hope it becomes sad.

It does not hint google translate to me
