Yeah, and it's not like Nostr even uses email or normal login information, it's npubs, unless they force people to somehow register their npubs, but I'm not sure the government has smart enough people who can and would actually work on making a system like that, (or so I hope!)
It's too easy to make another account, so it will hopefully be too hard to control, like how bitcoin is banned in China, but not really...
china gave up banning bitcoin tho, it was mainly about the power usage. russia also gave up, but i'm sure they had absolutely no effect on siberian miners, winter in siberia is great for overclocking your rigs :)
the totalitarian nosey parkers will never accept a self sovereign identity scheme. there is basically a kind of registration in the user profile event anyway, which all works much like key servers on pgp. there is literally no way for them to control it. there is a huge mindset block too, even shitcoiners can't comprehend users successfully keeping control of their keys, they make all this email and OAUTH shit "for onboarding"
i'm like, guys, guys, we have had this unbreakably secure schemes for encryption and authentication and people using them for literally now going on 30 years. they don't understand the idea of people actually doing self custody let alone understand the moral and economic underpinnings of it.
the ruling class don't want people to do it, because your nsec is like a signet ring for signing wax seals on letters. plebs aren't allowed to have titles and authority.
