Kinda seems to me like obedience is way over emphasized in church & religion & everywhere really. Obedience is literally the source of all of the greatest evils in human history. Every war, every genocide, every major atrocity was made possible almost entirely by unthinking obedient pawns. Jesus was killed for rejecting obedience to authority & it wasn't the authority figures who nailed him to the cross.

Acceptance of reality (God's law/natural law) is not what I would call obedience. Acceptance of one's own nature and the mutually beneficial roles we have to play is also not something I would call obedience.

The obedient wear masks & get their jabs & tattle on their neighbors. Every cowardly worthless nobody likes the concept of obedience because you don't have to have any talent or skill to be obedient. They get to feel like they have socially elevated themselves without having to do anything of any merit at all. The disobedient are the people who move the world forward.
