Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. I think there are people who truly do not want the responsibility that comes with any real sort of freedom & who would be unhappy if they got it. There are people who need someone else to blame for their situation so that they can avoid looking at themselves. But what meaningful difference is there between people who don't want freedom & those who are afraid of it?

I don’t mean that they are afraid of freedom.I mean they are afraid the the repercussions of attempting a breakout and failing.

I think the yearning for freedom is something you can’t be separated from the human soul but people can be beaten into choosing comfort (or the lack of pain) over facing their fear of failure. We see people punished all the time and we know what failure looks like. Other than Yachts and Mansions (which I would argue are not even real freedom) most people can’t even picture real freedom but they know they want it.

The best thing about bitcoin is that once you see IT, you can dare to imagine that freedom is even possible FOR YOU. You can start to see what it looks like and realize that comfort ISNT freedom.

But every human being WANTS freedom.
