Another bald guy championing keto?

These people are a dime a dozen, and they all look the same: unwell.

From #Grok:

> The book promotes a ketogenic lifestyle, where the body burns fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. Champion argues this aligns with human physiology, leading to weight loss, improved energy, mental clarity, and reduced risk of diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s.

My teeth look better than his as 500g+ of sugar a day.

It's dysbiosis, not fruit and honey.

dysbiosis - gonna look it up thanks

so you read it or...?

i have not. its sitting on the shelf.

i have read his other output though, on aye-arrrr-sss -

he doesnt mess around with his research and presents nothing that he hasn't like triple-verified from multiple legitimate sources, so I find it hard to believe he is so easily dismissed in this realm...

also, actually reading it you learn his history which is that he was NOT HEALTHY for the first part of his life - maybe up until 50 ... he was bald before he changed his diet.

he is now well north of 60 I think so there is that.

anyhoo.

the man is a national treasure due to his other work though... "Shattering..." - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Nothing like it out there.

this guy is NOT "a dime a dozen" bro.

he is also twice your age.

He's 80?

"Sugar bad" bros are the majority.

do you recommend any reading on this topic?

any favorites or must reads?

think he prolly mid-60s... 🤷‍♂️

"from Grok" - lol huh?

Seems like a reasonable summation. You disagree with it?

its just super generic compared to the depth of his argument imo... with a better prompt Grok could dig in a bit but no big deal

again, havent read it and only have cursory awareness of full argument due to some interviews... seems one of the main thrusts of the book is that he found that most people are in a state of "glucosis", a term he says he had to coin since there wasnt one for this "state"... he says this "glucosis" is new for humans and that our ancestors did not live in this state, but rather in a more "ketotic" state...

the other thing I think I remember, but may be mischaractetizing it a bit here, is that this "glucosis" state is the root cause of pretty much all disease, inflammation being the main culprit, but, according to the individual, manifesting in different "diseases" (diabetes, dementia, alzheimers, cancer) on a spectrum according to a sort of gradient of the total cell health depending on how much "glucosis" the entirety of the person has been through and for how long.

again, the impeccability and diligence of this mans research regarding the tax code makes it difficult for me to dismiss his position out-of-hand...
