Why don't you let the user choose the cache limit? I have no interest in holding 1gb of Nostr & videos all the time & don't know why you think everyone would. I can't imagine what it would be like if every app forced us to carry a gb of cache. At least I can use Primal but I like Amethyst too.
It's not about letting, it's about being able to. Amethyst does way too much to even work without large caches. Otherwise everything would be loading all the time. It kinda sucks. Primal is a much smaller app and can use a reduced cache for now.
