That’s crazy. I use cinematic mode and the digital focus all the time but that’s a particularly good shot. The focus transition is incredibly well tuned to the depth.

I actually thought about getting a DSLR again and some custom lenses to get good pictures just before Rad was born. Then thought about it and realized I was practically never going to have it with me when it mattered. The simple fact was that most of my pictures would be with my phone one way or the other. So I got the iPhone Pro with the maxed out camera. Zero regrets, the photos are amazing

The best camera is always the one you have with you when you need it.

Oh the pro was the way to go for pics. I have a nice DSLR for my kids’ sports pics

and a really nice DSLR for my dental photography and I mostly use my iPhone pro now. I get better long distance shots with my DSLR, but my close up photos look just as good with my phone camera + attached ring light.

Mom tip- take a ridiculous amount of photos and video as often as you can. Even simple things like when they wake up. Going back and watching these will choke you up and the kids love seeing them. As often as my husband and I did it, we wish we had taken more.
