Why is the Executive Branch singling out this one company and holding them to a different standard? It's a similar tactic that was used to put my dad's company out of business. At least this company is big enough to fight back with a chance of success.

Ridiculous. Because they use silver to keep the filters from molding most likely.

Sadly our tax dollars will be at the EPA’s disposal in this suit. Such a waste, if only they actually did their job and helped protect the environment

It's not even about the filters accumulating bacteria. The EPA is claiming that since bacteria is being removed, then that defines the filter as a "pesticide", and must conform to all of the requirements for a chemical pesticide.
