Bitcoin worship, as you put it, is a noticeable problem don't get me wrong. But I would say that it isn't the biggest problem. That would go to the idea that it's how nostr works conceptually and how difficult for the average non-tech person to wrap their head around. Granted the bitcoin worship does poison the will quite a bit, but I think it would still be an issue without the poisoned well.
If they've gone through all the trouble of onboarding on nostr, the ambience can make them stay

Unfortunately, from what I've heard, onboarding is a bit of disaster still.

Step 3 is to interact, while you build your account
