People don't know much about history...do they ?
I am not sure if we where teached the same....
Apparently tomatoes 🍅 came from South America
He was not talking about the fruit, but the name given to the fruit.

Spanish called it the "poison apple" and did not eat it till later on. No one knows. In Portuguese is "Tomate". The English word, Tomato, was borrowed from the English, from Portuguese, Spanish or French. We did discover South America ...well, we travelled and made families around the world. That's why, usually, in every country you go, you find a Portuguese. Lol
