Yeah unfortunately migrating or using existing contacts is not gonna work in Keet (certainly at this stage).

I would say start using Keet for any specific project or group that you can find, maybe a bitcoiner friend, sharing files with someone, and just start getting up there a lot. Then use Keet for it's strengths with your other family. For instance, moving a 1GB file in Whatsapp I imagine is a nightmare. But if you have a desktop that stays on and want to share a 1GB file with someone, the install -> get link -> share link -> download process is actually super quick and easy. My sister-in-law got on it in now time and she isn't a very technically inclined user.

There are some additional features coming soon that will make it far more readily useful for these cases as well. And I'm working on a project that should scale that up to a much more organized setup for file sharing.

If you can pull people in for one use case, it ends up a lot easier to get them to use it for other things as well. You just need to start building a network. The only reason I have the whole list as I do above is because I've been working toward it for almost a year now. Takes time, but all good things do 😄 🫡
