One of the biggest furry websites in FurAffinity was hit with a domain hijack attack.

It's kinda funny considering they've been around ~20 years by this point. Really wonder how it went down - anyone of you know how those domain hijack attacks work precisely?

Tl;dr someone gets access to your DNS server and redirects traffic to wherever they see fit

Ah, that is as far as I had guessed. Interesting, since their domain is probably with a registrar like GoDaddy or something, it would probably affect more than just them I would believe?

I guess it depends on if it's an issue with the registrar/most or the user having weak passwords, getting phished...etc
