Interesting comparison from the githubs for monero and LND:

"Monero isn't made to integrate with Tor"

"lnd currently has complete support for using Lightning over Tor"

Despite clearnet being a major attack surface for Monero. If monero was tor-only it would be unstoppable, maybe. Pure darknet money.

I think pure tor ecash mints will beat them to the punch.

Network privacy isn't a unique problem for Monero. That applies to Lightning and every crypto. Monero also has certain privacy guarantees even when using clearnet like amounts and addresses being hidden.

I think ecash is pretty cool, but I don't think it's likely that merchants on DNMs, who already have to trust the market to escrow funds, will want to take on an additional counterparty risk with ecash...but we'll see. I think it is slightly more likely once ecash introduces blinded amounts.

Dude many Monero wallets have tor integration and tor nodes available in them

Even with Phoenix/Zeus Tor is purely optional. The most used Lightning wallets like WoS, that isn't even private to begin with, don't have Tor period. So what is the advantage if Tor is optional for both Lightning and Monero? And additionally most Lightning users are on wallets that don't have Tor available at all.
