EU is gonna tax you and your company into oblivion or, if your company is strong enough to survive this blow, into living in a communist regime.

"By confirming that a price has been paid for the embedded carbon emissions generated in the production of certain goods imported in the EU, the CBAM will ensure the carbon price of imports is equivalent to the carbon price of domestic production, and that the EU's climate objectives are not undermined. The CBMA is designed to be compatible with WTO rules.

EU importers of goods covered by the CBAM registers with national authorities where they can also buy CBAM certificates. Certificates are priced based on weekly ETS allowance."

So this means tariffs on almost anything coming out of China? Inflation will skyrocket.

I can’t stop laughing.

They will keep trying but they won’t succeed. Personally I stopped paying even some small tickets or whatever comes from states.

No, this means carbon taxes will be applied to all goods now subject to this CBAM nonsense (for now electricity, cement, steel, iron, fertilizers and aluminum) coming from all non EU countries.

But yes, since China is our second non EU commercial partner (right after US), basically this will also mean things are not getting any cheaper.

Since also steel and cement, used to build houses, will also increase in price, this will also mean that houses will be priced a lot more.
