Is there some #gentoo folks on nostr? I wanted to ask, what kind of setup for kernel, init system and desktop environment you know to work with least friction? Maby also including the hardware you run it with.

Since I only quickly tried Gentoo, but switched for void after that, since I did not manage to make it work for me. So maby there is a gentoo geek around willing to help? Maby I would try it in a virtual machine next. Since to me it seems very cool, that one can build every package from source in Gentoo. Seems most free way of computing to me.
