I love how you specifically called out "how honest we are with ourselves." What fills me with curiosity and excitement about AI is that in the process of creation it will reveal truths requiring us to be honest with ourselves about what it means to be human. We've been struggling with these questions for centuries, and now that we're on the cusp of finding the answers there are signs people don't want really want to know.

You are not wrong there. There was a book I read when I was younger and it talked about the currrent period of humans being 'lost' due to the decline of the church as the centrepiece of our lives. Previously when something went wrong we just said 'it was gods wish' etc. Not knowing reasons is hard on us and creates chaos in us which can be seen all through society.

Yeah honestly I think the more that things are laid bare the more likely it is we see a return to spiritual practices as a new type of communion. Have you watched or listened to any of John Vervaeke’s material?
