I guess I don't really get what you mean. Communities on nostr suck right now bc its all over the place.
If you use #asknostr your post will not show up in the community because your post needs to actually be posted IN the community.
If you just use the hasgtag and not post it in the community, it goes directly into the global feed.

Hashtag goes to global and doesn't automatically populate into the community. Why? I don't fucking know.
If you post into the community? It goes both to the feed and the community.
Because of that, people don't see a point or even want to bother with that. Which sucks.

Hashtagging a note and posting a note to a community are just unrelated. As the community feature evolves in clients it might get better. E.g. #nostrudel let's you select a community in the options of the "write note" box. A future client may display community proposals depending on your notes hashtags.
Ok I'll join. the asknostr hashtag is abused lately for seeking attention and also people asking silly and boring questions, may be a community will help.
