When I'm too tired to play with my kids or they need a low key activity before bed, I occasionally will sketch a couple of pictures for them to color. It's great, half the time is spent just coming up with a topic and what flourishes to include. Once it's done they color and I zone out. They don't know/care how crappy my drawings are, the imaginative exercise and bonding are enough.
